Whispers of Rain after Christmas
Whispering Raindrops fluttering down
Lying in bed absorbing the sound
Contemplating back on a day so well spent
Bonds with family more strong than cement
Molecules of hydrogen twice over with O
Coming down wet but starting as snow
A blanket of water envelops all underneath
If it were to freeze it t'wod be a sheet
Worry not about that, not a care in my head
Now I do lay me down for mine bed
