A cat so dear
Hath no fear With so much love so very near Content and grand As you do end Her on with all our love we send O mighty Jess One of the best Out hearts we give to yours and press And you sit Quiet and content Wondering how it all came and went Accepting and peaceful Playful in the sun Last days filled with Love Love Love and then some With purrs and meows To you we bow With all the time we can allow With strokes and cuddles And feelings subtle We send our love to you who huddles Small on the couch Skinny and crouched It seems quiet close to time for out But out with love Compassion And tears You will be missed Dear cat aged 16 You have lived in love and your passing shall be the same Goodnight and Goodbye

By land over the highlands
I've walked run and swam A journey to the past where one can still get a decent cup of tea Mountain ranges Boggy depths Unsettled visitas as far as the eye could see History retained in the names Sounds of the mountains Captured in a procession down main street Where the junior leaders practice for the future Future generations bought to appreciate the space A reminder of life without wifi People still get by Two full weeks Just enough to release An escape? An invitation! An affirmation A chance to look into the past, think on the future, appreciate the present Sunset portals over distant islands lead the way to magic One of the homes of power What a joy to behold New family's first visit What a joy to hold Full fledged peaceful pledge I offer thanks and gratitude Oh dear Highlands, I must confess, thou dost impress and make my mood improve From grim to grin And sad to glad We got it pretty good Through locks and Beins By land over highland This peace I do Salute It seems as though
There are days for man When all the things go just as they planned But other days Find a way To make every aspect go off or astray How to make The best of each Is a skill only practice can teach The day itself Is without any merit Tis only the response that we heap upon it What give the power To ruin an hour Can we control whether we run and we cower? A changed response Is all it may take Give it a go for you're own sake |
