Rainbow Eyes

23/8/2010

We watch the rain
  Side by side
   Hand in hand

Cars splish splash in the falling water
Lights
   catch reflections creating

Infinite Rainbows

They quickly come and go

But their lights can't compete with your eyes.
Because there
    Eternal Rainbows reside

Each with a pot of gold waiting
Warm and dry
   Side by side
   Legs intwined
Later

   Wet will come

When warm turns to HOT

Now chatter surrounds

We take turns buying rounds
  Stupid jokes make you laugh
I act a fool for your rainbow smile
   Worth every effort

Safe and sound
   Hand in hand
I always want you around
The girl with the rainbows in her eyes.

Dreaming of Breathe

A dreamer's waking breathe
Kisses
The starless night

Reality bending
   A stunning yoga prose
It stretches on top of itself from the exhale

Third eye opens to the impossible made flesh
A waking paradox in the fading autumn light

Moments in time
Frozen
In falling orange leaves

Trees dreaming of a greener tomorrow
Lumbering toward the coffee killed rain forest,
    Hoping to wake up

Dreaming desserts
An oasis of stars

How can one sleep in the new world of lights?
How can one dream with so many distractions?

Awaken all dreamers!
    Draw strength from thy breathe!

See the world unfold upon itself as time continues its endless march into the future

Trust the trees
Trust the dreams
Trust the stars.

The Last King of the Living

8/8/2010

The last King of the Living went to his coffin and wept

His tear flowed free and salty in the tender darkness that enveloped

The final light in his mind burned its final flame
Bright
Pure

Burning itself into oblivion
The war was over...

Tears of blood had been shed
and bled

So much the moon rose ruby red

Frowning full moon, the only witness

The King sunk further into the depth

Tens of thousands swept through to the unknown

Loyal Fearless Fighters!
Representing life.
Not understanding there is no beating death, no mattar how good the fight

No matter how much you believe in the light

From darkness we come and unto it we return

As the coffin lid closed
And the red moon rose
The King convered into darkness his last light struggling against the vast empty

He finally understood it all

Nor could Dark ever fully win.

Soft as Water

Soft and supple
This is the state of a living thing

The softest thing is water
How HARD IT CAN SEEM!

So hard that it breaks rocks and bones

Supple as the softest velvet
The kind of lining that goes in a coffin
The kind of skin found on a newborn

Flip it over and reveal

The master  knows what is soft when touched
Can be hard when pushed

What is supple and inviting
Can be inviting you to death

Soft, hard, supple and coarse

ALL play essential parts

    I love poetry.

It can be whimsical or epic, unbearably long or just two memorable lines, mature and dark or light and childish.
