Anger Rising

Anger bubbling, rubbing and roaring
Rising from the deep well within

Destruction follows in its wake
A ruining path to oblivion

Control does slip and slide away
Hatred tightens up its grip

To the edge and then just past
Patience now has been forfeit

Let the Beast climb from its hole
Part of you held inside

Breaking, bashing, bridges crashing
No where to go run and hide

FREEDOM

POWER

Restraint no more capped on these urges
Come forth like a rising tide

The waves come strong in great surge
Upon hate this storm does ride

Destructive beast rap, rapping at the door
In the fires of anger born
Peaceful states ripped and torn
It wants more…more…more

Anger hurting, burning, spurting
Drives away both friends and fam

Alone and wrathful if not careful
Is how this path will see you land

Niceness past, vicious present
Who knows what the future holds

All this time, joy can grow
Roots take find space in the crack and holes

Turn back to peace, return to people
Those who know you best and care

With this group the truth of feelings
Should one not be in fear to share

Anger’s day, Anger’s week, Anger’s years in time shall pass
Fear not the beast, ask it to tea, embrace all of your shadows cast

Destructive beast know; no need to fear
In the joys of anger born
To the cause of wholeness sworn
It comes near…can you hear?

In the pale morning light
As the sun struggles its rise from behind clouds in a vice
I am a dragon
Cold fire breath

Cold wind from the east scours heat from face and breath from lungs
The ocean lies to the east

Go far enough and the ocean is every way

Trees changing leaves prepare to take leave

Morning light broken, the flower of sunrise in full bloom
Crisp orange petals
Long white stems
Red blossoms fill the morning sky

Flower dragon
Breathe
See
Think how far that light has traveled
For your eyes only

Lucky lizard up on the perch
Alone in the cold

Naught but fading colours and leaves for company
That and the FIRE
A dragon's constant companion
Force and heat
Can I ignite the sky once more?

Sun burns high now
Risen with all its golden glory

Few greater spectacles in our corner of our universe
Pale morning pass to bright day
The dragon's rise eto

    I love poetry.

It can be whimsical or epic, unbearably long or just two memorable lines, mature and dark or light and childish.
