Provide a Dream

14/12/2012

I stand beside you
Wondering how I could
Provide
Shelter, water, food

Chasing a passion that has never paid
It makes me afraid

How will we live, what will we eat?
How can we get shoes for our feet?

Passion provides
A pleasant surprise
When you open your eyes
To get past the lies

Surmise

Believe what you want no matter the risk
Those who got what they want
Had the courage to take it

I stand beside you
Knowing that I could
Provide
With my dream as livelihood

A Global Hope

13/12/2012

A global event of epic proportions
All can participate and chip in a portion

Need only think positive
Have hope for a future where we all must live

Believe that we humans can begin to change
That the future will not be more of the same

Belief that we each can make a difference
Whether large, small, alone or group instance

This hope comes with job about our shared future
Feed it with thought and act it in nature

Let it grow and expand till we are ready to burst
Spread so much love that it almost hurts

Hug yourself and your friends in your mental embrace
Why not for that matter hug the WHOLE HUMAN RACE!

A better future exists, we all have the thirst
Let us join forces to get past the worst

Join together in thoughts that focus on hope
Bask in the light that potential evokes

Once in a century, once in a lifetime
We can come together to build a new lifeline

A lifeline to what we call the eternal
A lifeline past what some call infernal

A lifeline for each and every soul
To join up and come no matter their roll

Tis time now to usher in a new age
A time for global unity that technology has paved

A global event that focused on good
That crossed mountains, rivers and wood

Hope and action and the new mottos
We must feed this with action and allow it to grow

Grow to the sky, grow to the limit
Because I'll tell you this; now we are deep in it.

    I love poetry.

It can be whimsical or epic, unbearably long or just two memorable lines, mature and dark or light and childish.
