A deal with the Devil never turn out well
How many the fool who learned this on their way to hell Not here referring to a written contact for the soul Instead what is given up to pursue an ignoble goal Worse when attained by ignoble means As harmless and innocuous as these actions may seem This is the Devil, those base pursuits Money, power, and isolation and those who follow suit The Devil is the selfish beast in all people with a price A level they will sacrifice what they know is wrong vs right There is a price to be taken, naught doth come free If you sell your soul, wherefore will happiness be?
