How do you handle the great big unknown?
Do you cower in fear? Scream and moan? Perhaps anger takes hold that you can't understand Maybe you hunker down and come up with a plan Fear is a path that comes up for plenty The results of this fear are varied and many What if instead we reacted with truth Truth in ourselves and out ability to adjust To accept and to grow in both light and in dark Our senses can only adjust when our eyes open stark The unknown is there around every atom No matter how much we learn we cannot all fathom The depth and complexity of this consciousness But we can all feel what it is to exist So when the unknown does read its shapeless great head Don't get mad, or get scarred, or run off to bed Embrace it instead and take fear to tea "Hello, I'm the unknown, perhaps you have heard of me" Say yes and accept Oh great unknown, I'm glad we have met
