September 10th, 201210/9/2012 In the pale morning light
As the sun struggles its rise from behind clouds in a vice I am a dragon Cold fire breath Cold wind from the east scours heat from face and breath from lungs The ocean lies to the east Go far enough and the ocean is every way Trees changing leaves prepare to take leave Morning light broken, the flower of sunrise in full bloom Crisp orange petals Long white stems Red blossoms fill the morning sky Flower dragon Breathe See Think how far that light has traveled For your eyes only Lucky lizard up on the perch Alone in the cold Naught but fading colours and leaves for company That and the FIRE A dragon's constant companion Force and heat Can I ignite the sky once more? Sun burns high now Risen with all its golden glory Few greater spectacles in our corner of our universe Pale morning pass to bright day The dragon's rise eto
