I call myself a warrior
I battle for the light Yet there is no sword in hand Intergrity, honor, and bravery I fight for what is right To protect my fellow men I carry forth the torch To corners dark and mean And gently light the way Some who live in darkness Their eyes it may scorch Tis a price they must pay For when you battle warriors Who represent the light A great power watches over them For when blessed by truth It radiates strength and might And they have no fear of the end The problem with this is that none can know all and people get confused They fight for unjust causes and think they serve the light but by darkness they are used A first clue to what is dark is violence done without remorse for this is only as a last resort to be used Violence is the last and worst spell to cast for blood can bring on a generational deep feud Another trick is faith that requires one to blind their senses gifted by all With some much wonder here, to turn a deaf, dumb ear is not the divine call One think I know, God wants us to look and know, to experience beauty every day We humans can resolve and differences absolve, if only we stop and say I am a warrior of light I fight only when its right And this is a sad occassion with no other choice I will not be blind I will see all I find And while on this world I will rejoice Thank you God for this life, this breath, and this love
