A festive season full of mixed feelings as we prepare for our departure
Our destiny awaits At least an epic journey at any rate Friends and family bring good health and cheer then come the tears The embrace The long goodbye Who could go through it without wanting to cry? But we sally forth To the irrevocable pull Which we can no longer Simply ignore It means a pause placed on the life we have here and a heartfelt goodbye to those we hold dear but never fear we shall return some year Having grown and expanded with air in our wings We shall travel light and return with whatever our trip brings I say not goodbye Instead, fare the well For next time we meet There shall be stories to tell
