Autumn brush gainst the leaves
The days grow shorter and shorter Just has passed all hallows eve Now unto November Colder, darker, focus in, what sunshine oft brings out Winter is for introverting, not enough about A month of busy planning prep For exciting things to come Like shows and fairs and art and friends Lucky me, I see no end Till death claims me from the sun Once I pass Autumn will Continue to come and go Like a leaf fallen from the tree I'll help in next year's growth Until that Here I sit With pen in hand Rhyme I submit To the powers that be And try to receive gracefully Thanks be God for Autumn mornings! Where ear is crisp and clear A sunrise comes of blazing orange Birds chirping in mine ear Still remains this feel of slumber Many still in bed with their lover Keeping Each other Warm
