A Change

Get ready to flip and ready to turn
Try not to scream as the world flips

There's a change coming
   For those who may not be aware
   Tis a change for the good, the just, the fair

For decades it has been gaining momentum
People getting smarter 
But the minority on top, this is a no starter

The world is ripe for a shift, from elite to the masses
The momentum is growing and there's no stopping the passage

Some parties will fight, bitter tooth and nail
Those who do well don't want now to fail

But it is bound to flip, to turn right on its head
Some may end up dead

I hope we can pass
   Without major clash
I hope we can flip
   Without our lives forfeit

Much as I hope to avoid this
   The powers on top might make a crisis

Peaceful evolution with them at the helm
   May lead to shipwreck and a deadly earth realm

But we cannot abandon ship!
This is our planet
   We must try to fix it!

Broken or fixed, a change is a'brewin
Who is responsible?
Our reflection doth ask
