After weeks of talking and planning with artisan carpenter @brendanpykecarpentry , we have finally framed Spike (the RULES #5) and Refractions (the RULES #3) and they are beautiful
Custom made to my specifications, I am really pleased with how they look. I especially wanted those curved corners to balance the angularity of the works and Brendan did a great job.
The RULES Collection
These works and ideas speak to the truth underlying our reality. This is an ongoing series.
The RULES are an extension of my pursuit of truth and the Truth I have found in threes. They are a further development of my yoga paintings and are based on the principles of Chakras, Balance, and light. These works are pure love and light.
They have 3 rules that apply to their construction.
1: The background must be white and black in almost equal parts
2: There must be a mixing of white in black, black in white
3: The colours of the Chakras be represented in order of the rainbow.
